Are you passionate about communication in European higher education? FOREU4All is looking for a dedicated Communications and Events Officer to join our team in Barcelona!

About FOR-EU4ALL

As the network of European Universities alliances under the European Universities Initiative (funded by Erasmus+), we aim to foster collaboration, share best practices, and engage in meaningful dialogue with stakeholders across Europe and beyond.

As the Communications and Events Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in:

  • Supporting 60+ communication managers across Europe.
  • Creating engaging content, managing online platforms, and enhancing project visibility.
  • Facilitating impactful events and fostering knowledge-sharing within the alliances.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A skilled communicator with a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in content creation, digital marketing, and event coordination.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level)

REVELANT TASKS

  • Strategy design, implementation and monitoring of the communication and dissemination, ensuring that the KPIs are met and the results are consistently monitored, with the 60+ Communication Managers from all over Europe involved.
  • Work packages support: Aid the different FOREU4ALL work packages in disseminating and maximizing the impact of their outputs.
  • Content creation: Gather data, develop press releases, articles, and content for the website and social media platforms, including visual content creation.
  • Website management
  • Regular reporting
  • Event Management Support


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Communication Design, Journalism, Marketing, International Relations, European Studies, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a communication role, preferably within the education sector or a related field.
  • Experience in content creation, including writing press releases, articles, and social media posts.
  • Experience in website management, design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and digital marketing is valuable.
  • Chairing, managing or coordinating (international) groups is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and strategies for engagement
  • Familiarity in using content management systems (CMS) for website management.
  • Advanced level in English is required (C1 in all dimensions as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFRL)
  • Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment. Not afraid of taking initiatives and being pro-active.
  • Knowledge of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and European Universities Initiative is highly desirable.
