The FOREU4ALL Community of Practice, which connects all European Universities alliances, will celebrate its third transversal workshop on 2 and 3 June 2026 in Strasbourg, France. Hosted at the prestigious Strasbourg European Parliament, the two-day event aims to foster collaboration on how alliances can build a stronger, more inclusive identity that resonates both within their institutions and across society.
Under the theme “From Campuses to Communities: enhancing engagement and sense of belonging in European Universities”, the workshop is led by the Community Engagement and Communication & Dissemination topical groups. By encouraging collaboration between these two vital areas, the programme seeks to share good practices, align communication strategies, and deepen the impact of alliances on their local and European ecosystems.
The event will also bring together members of the topical groups on Mobility, Multilingualism and Multiculturalism, Diversity and Inclusion, and the Student-led community on Sustainable and Democratic Student Participation. With 140 attendees expected onsite and remote access available through a hybrid format, the workshop will ensure broad participation from across the European Universities initiative.

Connecting People and Alliances: Inside the Programme
The workshop will offer a shared space for communication officers and community engagement experts to explore how strategic dissemination and active public participation can mutually reinforce one another.
Participants will explore effective strategies to drive meaningful public and community engagement, ensuring the work of alliances is visible and impactful. The core agenda of the programme features hybrid plenary discussions, a keynote panel, a poster session, and a student-led roundtable titled “Hearing the Students’ Voice”. Central to the event are also five parallel breakout workshops, where working groups will co-create targeted concept notes covering core issues: identity values, local visibility, mobility barriers, motivational recognition, and value proposition.
Registration for online participation in the plenary sessions is available here. Registration will remain open until May 29, 2026. For onsite attendees, practical information including accommodation and social programme can be found here.
The workshop is the third of a cycle of eight face-to-face transversal workshops to be held between December 2025 and July 2028. Each event brings together representatives from across alliances, external experts, and key stakeholders to foster deeper dialogue and stimulate cross-cutting innovation in European higher education.
