The conference is designed as an inter-alliance event. Over three days, students, teachers, researchers and institutional leaders from EUNICoast and partner European university alliances will explore a shared challenge:
how do we integrate Artificial Intelligence into higher education responsibly, practically, and collectively?
The programme covers AI in teaching and learning (4 November), AI policy and sovereignty including the EU AI Act (5 November), and AI in research across coastal and maritime dimensions (6 November).
Poster sessions run across all three days and are open to all alliances. Read more.
Registrations are now open: → Register here
Two calls for participation are also open until 31 August 2026
- Call for Papers (Abstract Submission): Researchers, academics, Master's and PhD students, and institutional contributors are invited to submit abstracts connected to AI and the five EUNICoast thematic areas: coastal heritage and local knowledge, blue circular economy and port logistics, governance and planning of coastal communities, health and biodiversity, and engineered solutions for coastal infrastructures. Selected contributions will be presented on 6 November.
→ Submit your abstract - Call for Contributions (Inter-Alliance AI Challenge Labs): Participants are invited to propose a concrete AI-related challenge currently faced within their alliance, institution, or professional environment, whether in teaching, research, governance, student services, or collaboration practices. Selected challenges will be developed in parallel sessions on 4 November and may contribute to a post-conference edited volume on AI in higher education.
