The FOREU4ALL Library & Open Science Topical Group has organised an online session presenting the results of the CIVICA Student Information Literacy and AI Barometer, conducted in partnership with the IFOP Institute:

This barometer is the first alliance-wide survey designed to better understand students’ information and AI practices in a rapidly evolving digital environment. Based on responses from nearly 2,300 students across the 10 CIVICA institutions, it explores key issues such as:

• the growing role of generative AI in academic work,
• challenges related to information overload and reliability,
• students’ expectations towards libraries and teaching staff,
• and overall levels of information literacy.

During this session, implications for academic libraries and information literacy strategies will be discussed. Presenters will open a conversation on the opportunity to extend or replicate this initiative within the FOREU4ALL framework.
