This four-part FORTHEM online webinar series, organized by Université Bourgogne Europe and Universitat de València, addresses the critical intersection of research ethics, academic integrity, and emerging technologies. Designed for Master's students, doctoral candidates, and academic researchers, this series builds on three previously successful iterations, reinforcing the commitment of FORTHEM's institutions to fostering responsible research practices.

  • Comprehensive Framework: Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the legislative and institutional frameworks governing research conduct and scientific integrity. Drawing on experience from our previous 30 trained participants, we provide a foundational understanding essential for navigating contemporary research environments.
  • Pioneering AI-Focused Content: As pioneers in addressing artificial intelligence within the context of scientific integrity at both universities, we examine both the opportunities and risks that AI presents to responsible research practices. This timely exploration equips researchers with critical thinking tools to navigate AI-assisted research ethically.
  • Predatory Publishing Awareness: The series includes practical training on identifying and avoiding predatory journals. Participants receive concrete tools and strategies for evaluating publication venues, protecting their research, and ensuring their work reaches legitimate, reputable outlets.
