Registration is now open for the third edition of the Student Mobility Summit (SMS) 2026, which will take place from 27 to 29 January 2026 at the University of Barcelona.

Under the theme “Quality Mobility Today and Tomorrow”, the summit will focus on how universities can adapt to changes in regulations, budgets, and mobility requirements to remain strategically and operationally prepared — and continue offering high-quality mobility experiences within the Erasmus+ framework.

Co-organised by the University of Barcelona and the European University Foundation (EUF) as part of the UB-EUF Internationalisation Hub, the summit will bring together professionals from universities across Europe to reflect on key questions such as:

• What can we learn from past transitions to be better prepared for the future?
• How can staff continuously improve the support they offer to students in international mobility?
• What role can universities play in shaping future mobility programmes?

Through debates, hackathons, and collaborative workshops, the summit will provide a space to share strategies and tackle current and future challenges in mobility.
