From 22 to 24 October at Technische Hochs chule Ingolstadt (Germany), the Kaleidoscope Culture Festival will bring to gether students, teachers, and partners from the ACE²-EU European Universit y Alliance for an international cultural event celebrating diversity, creat ivity, and collaboration across Europe. Under the theme “The Voices of Euro pe Today,” the festival will highlight the cultural richness and shared spi rit of the Alliance community, offering a vibrant experience of contemporar y European voices.
Over three days, the programme will featu re a wide variety of activities, workshops, performances, exhibitions, conc erts, and interactive experiences, showcasing the creative cooperation betw een students and lecturers from alliance universities. Participants will in clude representatives from Latvian Academy of Culture (Latvia), Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (Germany), Instituto Politécnico de Santarém (Portuga l), Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Spain), Constantin Brâncuși Universit y of Târgu Jiu (Romania), Goce Delčev University in Štip (North Macedonia), Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny (Poland) and Lietuvos Inžinerijos Kolegija (L ithuania).
The festival workshops and performances will offer insight s into various cultural traditions and their contemporary interpretations, inviting participants to explore culture through senses, sounds, tastes, an d movement. Attendees will take part in creative sessions on culinary herit age and sustainability, the revival of traditional games and folklore in mo dern art, collaborative theatre and dance practices, and the diverse expres sions of European culture through languages, symbols, and storytelling.
The artistic programme will include dance, theatre, and music performanc es created by international creative teams. The line-up will feature contem porary dance pieces, classical and rock concerts, poetry and language perfo rmances, and elements of improvisational theatre, all showcasing the power of co-creation and the breaking of cultural boundaries.
The exhibitio n and visual arts section will present traditional costumes, visual install ations, digital stories, and artworks reflecting on cultural identity and t he reinterpretation of stereotypes. Visitors will be able to explore exhibi tions such as “Languages of the World”, “Traditional Kashubian Costumes”, “ Romanian Traditional Costumes”, and “Traditions Reimagined: Folklore on Car dboard”, among others created in collaboration with students.
The fes tival will conclude with a showcase concert “United in Performance”, combin ing music, dance, and theatre, as well as the ACE²-EU Congress, which will reflect on shared experiences and outline future cultural and educational i nitiatives within the alliance.
