The second FOREU4ALL workshop, " Aligning Project Management and Impact: A Practical and Strategic Dialo gue for European University Alliances”, will be hosted b y Arqus at the University of Granada, Spain, 16-17 April 2026.

The workshop seeks to build a strategic and practical dial ogue between project management and impact within the European University A lliances. As alliances implement complex, long-term transformation agendas, the need to better align management practices with impact ambitions is gro wing. Yet, in many cases, these two dimensions remain siloed—limiting coher ence, visibility, and strategic steering.

The workshop will offer a s hared space for project managers and impact officers to explore how managem ent and impact can mutually reinforce one another. Participants will engage in peer exchange, guided discussions, and hands-on sessions to:

Clarify roles, expectations, and shared definitions surro unding project management, impact, and performance reporting within Europea n University Alliances, to foster a common understanding and strengthen col laboration between management and impact actors.
Explore an d promote synergies between project management and impact approaches, identifying how they can mutually reinforce strategic alignment, accoun tability, and continuous improvement—ultimately contributing to the long-te rm transformation agendas of alliances.
Foster peer learnin g and co-creation, enabling participants to reflect on current pra ctices, surface shared challenges and opportunities, and co-develop a pract ical toolbox and roadmap for coordinated and impact-informed management acr oss alliances.

The programme includes a variety of s ession formats, including plenary discussions, workshops, training sessions , posters and interactive “walls of challenges and solutions”.

A total of eight face-to-face transversal w orkshops will be organised between December 2025 and July 2028. Their objec tive is to become a forum for deeper discussions across alliances and topic al areas, as well as to engage external experts and stakeholders in the all iances’ activities.
